Paul Marcano is an independent, multidisciplinary artist based on west coast of British Columbia. His artistic expression has spanned painting, airbrush, 3D/360 art, and immersive virtual reality (VR) development promoting his love for illustrating his musical compositions.
He builds and sells standalone VR experiences under the Dreamscaping Series brand, distributed independently, here at paulmarcano.com.
His work integrates a self portrait of contemplative philosophy, lucid dreaming and inquiry into the nature of consciousness through aesthetic experiences that reflect an inward, as much as outward exploration of awareness as a unique omni floating-point perception.

Immersive VR Experiences
Standalone APK experiences for the mobile Quest series of VR headsets, no PC required, no platform subscription. Simply Download, sideload, and enter worlds built from multi-media imagination.
These virtual experiences could be characterized as 'active meditations' inside a VR environment, orchestrated with original soundtracks, songs, and visual art, itself a contemplative practice, no less valid than a lot of formal mindfulness sessions. The first-person, immersive nature of virtual reality, deepened by intentional dreamscaping, naturally invites awe and wonder, a quiet enthusiasm to rediscover a youthful curiousity.

Airbrushing Galaxies (Quest 2-3)
Virtual reality is a great way to merge art and music into one vision. Airbrushing Galaxies (1983) is third in a series of space habitat themed albums following the release of Islands in Space (1981) and 10001 Dreams (1982). I built a Meta Quest 2 & 3 virtual world to complete that series of VR Albums. The setting is a space station designed to feature the four seasons so although set in space it has a naturalist look and feel. Such settings reflect extra value to the music I create.
